Want a lightweight interview or podcast recording with two cameras? DualTake on Mac uses Apple Continuity Camera so your iPhone becomes a second video source next to the built-in webcam — both recorded together in Chrome, Safari, or Edge.
Requirements
- Mac on macOS 13 Ventura or later
- iPhone on iOS 16 or later
- Same Apple ID on both devices
- Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled
- Modern browser (Chrome, Safari, or Edge)
Setup steps
- Open getdualtake.app/record on your Mac
- Bring the unlocked iPhone near the Mac
- In DualTake Sources, pick the Continuity Camera iPhone as Scene (or Face)
- Pick the Mac webcam for the other angle and your preferred mic
- Choose bubble or split layout, then record
What you get
DualTake exports a zip with the composed video plus raw front and rear streams — pre-synced for Final Cut, Premiere, or DaVinci if you want to re-edit later.
iPhone-only dual camera?
For simultaneous front + rear on the phone itself, use the DualTake iPhone app — Safari cannot open both cameras at once.
