Common questions
Does DualTake upload my videos?
No. Recordings stay on your device. On iOS they save to the app's library. On the web they download straight to your Downloads folder as a zip containing the composed file plus the raw front and rear streams.
How do I use my iPhone as a second camera on Mac?
Open DualTake in a browser on a Mac running macOS Ventura or later. Bring your iPhone (iOS 16+) close to the Mac with both signed into the same iCloud account. The iPhone appears in the camera picker as a Continuity Camera. Select it as the second camera.
I bought Pro on iPhone but it's not showing on my web account.
Sign in to the web app with the same email/Apple ID. Pro entitlement syncs through RevenueCat. If it still doesn't appear after a minute, tap "Restore Purchases" on iOS, or contact us.
I want to cancel my subscription.
iOS: Settings app → tap your Apple ID → Subscriptions → DualTake → Cancel.
Web: Open the app → Settings → Manage subscription → Cancel.
I want a refund.
iOS purchases: request a refund from reportaproblem.apple.com — Apple handles all App Store refunds.
Web purchases: email us within 14 days of purchase and we'll refund via Stripe.
I want to delete my account.
Open Settings → Delete account. This is immediate and permanent. Your subscription record is removed from our database; if you still have an active App Store subscription, cancel it separately via the App Store as above.
The camera isn't working in my browser.
- Make sure you allowed camera access in the browser's site permissions.
- Chrome and Safari work best. Firefox has slightly older WebM support — we work around this automatically.
- On Mac, if your iPhone doesn't appear as a second camera, ensure both devices have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on, and both are signed in to the same Apple ID with two-factor authentication enabled.
