Terms of Service

These terms ("Terms") govern your use of DualTake — our iOS app and our website at getdualtake.app (together, the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
1. The Service
DualTake lets you record from two cameras at once — typically a front camera and a rear camera on iPhone, or a Mac webcam and a Continuity Camera on the web. Recordings are produced locally on your device and never uploaded to our servers.
2. Your account
You can use most of DualTake without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for the credentials you use to access it. You may not share your account, sell access, or use the Service to impersonate someone else.
3. Subscriptions and one-time purchases
iOS (Apple App Store)
- DualTake Pro is offered as a monthly subscription ($2.99 / month), an annual subscription ($24.99 / year), and a lifetime one-time purchase ($99.99).
- Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Cancel anytime via App Store → Settings → Subscriptions.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple per Apple's policies.
Web (Stripe)
- Pro on the web is currently the same pricing as iOS. Stripe processes payment. Refunds within 14 days of purchase per consumer law in your jurisdiction.
- You may cancel anytime via the billing portal linked from Settings.
4. What you can and can't do
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
- Use the Service to record people without their consent where consent is required.
- Use the Service to record, store, or transmit content that is illegal in your jurisdiction (CSAM, threats, etc.).
- Circumvent watermarks or paid feature gates.
- Abuse our infrastructure (automated attacks, scraping, rate-limit evasion).
5. Your content
You own everything you record. We claim no rights over your recordings. Because we never upload them, we also never see them.
6. Intellectual property
The DualTake name, logo, app, source code, and website are owned by us. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service for personal or commercial recording.
7. Service availability
We try to keep the Service running, but we make no uptime guarantees. The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. Recording is performed locally — even if our servers are down, your recordings still work.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.
9. Termination
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. If we terminate your account for cause, no refund is owed.
10. Changes to these Terms
If we make material changes, we'll update this page and notify you via email where appropriate. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. Disputes will be heard in the courts of the user's place of residence where required by law, otherwise in Germany.
